Pressure ulcers bring a lot of pain for the patient and can occur within a few hours. In Norway the occurence of pressure ulcer is 1 in 5 patients. We believe this is too high and that it could have been avoided. 

The patient's pain is not the only consequence of a pressure ulcer. It is very expensive for the society to treat a pressure ulcer. A report from the US in 2017 show that treating a pressure ulcer costs in average $14,506. Another example is Denmark, where the estimated cost for treating pressure ulcers is 1.3 billion Danish kroner per year!
